Writer, composer and community activist Betty Reid Soskin is the oldest ranger in the National Park System. She is ninety-eight. She became a ranger when she was eighty-five, after serving as a consultant for the creation of the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, California; “Face Forward” (2019) project by photographer Annie Leibovitz using Google Pixel phone camera.
