There are no rules 😉 But using lots of ribbon techniques is probably my favorite way to embellish my Christmas trees. ➡️ Comment RIBBON and I’ll send you a full step by step tutorial with lots of tips and answers to the most common questions I get when it comes to decorating my trees. 👆🏼A few general tips… - Wired ribbon is where it’s at and I like using multiple widths (I always try to use at least a little bit of 4”) Mesh, wiry, thick fabric and ribbons that can stand on their own pretty well are 👌🏼 - Buy more than you think you need. Like 50-60 yards MINIMUM. - Faux trees are easier to work with and the fuller the tree, the better the “hold” without having to wrap/secure the ribbon when you shove it inside the tree - Try to blouse the ribbon to let the tufts breathe and not mash up against the limbs. - I prefer to work with cut pieces instead of full rolls. I would guess my strips range in size from 3-4.5’. - I like to start with ribbon and actually, go back and add more at the very end. (This green tree was my fave from 2022 💚) #christmastreedecor #christmastreedecorating #christmastreeribbon #christmastreedecorations #christmasdecorations | Kelley Nan Lopez | Saltonbria · Magical Fantasy
