Boujad rugs are handwoven pile rugs from a small region in Haouz between the Middle Atlas and the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Handmade by Berber women who use bold hues - mostly pinks - and striking symbols to weave wildly beautiful rugs. Each one-of-a-kind piece tells a story, making references to fertility, rural life, marriage, spiritual beliefs and life.
