Long /a/ CVCe Word Sort Center -ake, -ame, -ale, -ace, -ate

This center is for learning long /a/ words with silent /e/ at the end. There are -ake, -ame, -ale, -ace, -ate, and oddball words. There are 72 word cards in all. Directions: Spread out the 6 old ladies on the ground. In one pile, put all the word cards upside down. Students will take turns picking up one card and reading the word out loud. After they read the word, the student will put the card in the correct mouth.
