This snappy download is sweeter than sweet and oh so cheery! Gingerbread Lane will have your students practicing number order (1-12), matching numbers to number words, and recognizing how numbers can be represented with dice. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to practice their fine motor skills as they color, cut, and glue to bring Gingerbread Lane to life. All you will need to provide is two standard dice and a long strip of construction paper. Here's how it works: 1) Students will roll two dice and color each picture that shows the number they rolled. (There will be a number form, a number word, and dice form - 3 pictures to color per dice roll). 2) Students will then repeat as a roll and cut activity until all of the pieces are cut out. 3) Once cut out, students will put the gingerbread houses in proper number order and glue them to a long strip of construction paper. This is Gingerbread Lane! 4) Each gingerbread house has a matching gingerbread person (with a corresponding number word), and a matching gumdrop (each showing a number in dice format). Students will match each of the pieces to the correct house and glue in place. Once completed, your students will have in hand an adorable street of gingerbread houses complete with resident gingerpeople and gumdrop decorations! This is such a fun activity and it's jam packed with a variety of skills for your students to practice. Once the activity is completed, the final product is absolutely adorable and can be hung in your classroom as a fun and festive decoration! ~ENJOY!! And Happy Holidays!!
