Rococo Styled Vase

This vase was handmade with coil building technique and hand molding. This vase is made in the Roccoco style of art popular in 1730s - 1760s in France, Italy, and Central Europe. It is an exceptionally ornamental and theatrical style of architecture, art and decoration which combines asymmetry and scrolling curves. In juxtaposition of the colorful pastels of the style, this vase is glazed in simple black to highlight its form and lets the details speak for themselves.
