Add a grainy texture to your images in Photoshop 📌 Save this for later 📌 Step 1 Open your image and go to Layer > New > Layer Shift+Ctrl+N (PC) or Shift+Cmd+N (Mac) TIP: Use a black and white photo for a more dramatic effect Step 2 Name the new layer "Grain" and set Color to none, set Mode to Overlay, and check the box for Fill with a Overlay-neutral color (50% gray) Step 3 Select the Grain layer and click on the menu in the top-right corner. Select "Convert to Smart Object" Step 4 Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise and set the amount to 10%, the distribution to Gaussian, and check the box for Monochromatic Step 5 With the layer selected, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set the radius to 0.5 pixels Step 6 Click OK and you're done!
