Summer Music Printables {Ready Set Print} This set of worksheets is designed help your students practice known rhythmic and melodic concepts with summery folk songs. These would be fun to use in in your last month of school or at back to school time. #RainyDayMusic It includes: - "Compose a Summer Chant" Pictures are provided of a sun, sea shell, sandcastle, and lemonade. Students can put them in any order they wish to create their own pattern/chant. Older students could figure out the actual rhythms, but it is not required. Students could then practice chanting their pattern and play it on a percussion instrument. - "Lemonade Rhythms" worksheet. (Practice ta and titi) Students draw a line from the rhythm pattern to the text from the folk song, Lemonade. - "Lemonade Pitches" composition worksheet. (Practice high/low) Students place the lemon pictures in the high or low boxes to create their own high low pattern. - "Lemonade Composition" worksheet- (ta and titi prep or practice) Students compose their own 8 beat song using ta and titi icons. - "Ickle Ockle" worksheet- (Practice la) Students put the melodic phrases of the song in order. - "Ickle Ockle" worksheet- (Practice ta rest) Students write fill in the empty beats with the correct rhythms to complete the song. - "Ickle Ockle" worksheet- (Prepare or practice a piece of silence or ta rest) Students color the beats where they hear a piece of silence (ta rest). - "Ickle Ockle" worksheet- (Practice ta rest) Students color the beats with one sound pink, the beats with two sounds, blue and the beats with no sound yellow. - "Color by Rhythm" (Practice ta, titi, ta rest, and half note, tiri-tiri) Students color in the picture according to the rhythms. - "Sea Shell Melody" worksheet - (practice re) Put the melodic phrases of the song in order. - "Bounce High Bounce Low" worksheet - (practice la) Put the melodic phrases of the song in order. - "Bounce High Bounce Low" worksheet - (practice ta and titi) Write the rhythms for the song in the beach balls. - "Jean, Jean" worksheet- (Practice ti-tiri) Students write fill in the empty beats with the correct rhythms to complete the song.
