Sinosauropteryx is a genus of compsognathid dinosaur in Jurassic World Evolution 2. Originating from Early Cretaceous Asia, it was the first feathered dinosaur to be discovered. It is included in the Feathered Species Pack. Native to north-east China and dates back to the Early Cretaceous period, Sinosauropteryx is a small, carnivorous theropod dinosaur notable for its short arms and remarkably long, wavy striped tail, that was thought to be used for balance as it ran on its hind legs. Taking a nap

The ring-tailed Sinosauropteryx may seem furred, but its skin is actually covered in downy, filament-like feathers. In fact, Sinosauropteryx was the first dinosaur to be discovered sporting feather-like structures all over its body, helping to prove dinosaurs evolved into modern birds!
