Yang Yu Hong on Instagram: "2 Quick Overlocker Tricks 1 - Instant Hemming With the wrong side of your fabric facing up, roll your hem to your mark then roll it back on itself (to create a Z or S shape depending on how you look at it). Overlock the three layers together, give the seam a good press and you’re done! 2 - Increased Gathers With your overlocker in the gather setting and at maximum stitch length, run the edge of your fabric through. The initial gathers are done, but if you wanted to increase the gathering, find the middle thread of the stitch and pull it from one side to intensify the gather effect! Hope these tips helped, and as always, happy sewing! #sewing #fashiondesigner #sewingtips #upcycling #sewsewsew #fashiondesign" Couture, Tela, Threaded Running Stitch, Sewing Hem Tricks, Overlock Stitch On Sewing Machine, Overlocker Tips, Overlocker Projects, Serger Tips, Sewing Hems

You can even use the overlocker stitches as a guide for pressing and sewing depending on how deep you want it. Bonus sewing tip - for curved hems knock your differential feed up a notch to compress the fabric slightly and ease the curve in neatly. #sewingtips #overlockertips #hemming #howtosew #learntosew" Sewing Lessons, How To Hem, Sewing Hems, Serger Sewing, Sewing Courses, Square Dance, Couture Sewing Techniques, Knitting Supplies, Couture Sewing
