My Maternal Grandmother. We called her Mama Milone. She was my favorite person. She taught me many things but it's the untold stories I discovered that were most intriguing. My Mom was responsible for painting the picture of what “La Belle Vie” (the beautiful life) may have looked like in Haiti through family photos. My Mom would always talk about the good life that my grandparent’s experienced in the hills of PetionVille the suburbs of Port Au Prince, which, is the capital of Haiti.
