Feeling numb

Written at a time where I didn't know how to feel. We all have moments, days, weeks or more where we are numb to our feelings.

People often mistake numbness for nothingness, but numbness isn't the absence of feelings it's a response to being overwhelmed by too many feelings. - Lori Gottlieb Emotional numbness can be used to shield yourself from having to deal with your feelings. It may provide you temporary relief but it will never make the feelings go away. Eventually, emotional numbness will get in the way of you processing good and bad feelings.
