Fabric experiments

This week we were using acrylic paint on fabric to create different effects. We started by stippling some calico with a dry brush using 2 colours - blue and yellow in my case, resulting in lots of green and looking like a flowery meadow! Wrapping fabric on PVC pipe to paint and dye can lead to some beautiful marks. I’m testing out some narrow PVC pipes for an upcoming project – trying to get an idea of how much fabric I can wrap in one layer and still work with standard size pipes available at reasonable prices! This is my experiment with earthy colors – I’ll try my sea and sky colors next.
