My card for today uses some new Sizzix embossing folders I just got. I like them, and I don’t! They come in mixed sets. The set I got includes one large folder and four smaller ones. I love the big one. I used it to do the background on this card. It’s big enough to emboss the whole front, top to bottom and side to side. Very cool! The folders emboss very deeply. I used the pretty new Simon Says Stamp Birthday die and Exotic Vines embossing folder, from their And Back Again release, to make a birthday card... I cut strips of cardstock in a rainbow of colors to try and match the width of each letter of the "birthday" sentiment. I then adhered them together on a thin piece of cardstock, cut to card size, and ran it through my die cutting machine in the embossing folder. I was browsing FB last night & saw that someone made a card using a napkin & embossing folder. I loved it & said I can do that too. I die cut a balloon onto a post it note & sponged on today's colors. I used Blushing Bride instead of Petal Pink, which I don't have.
