New Summit Charter Academy will teach character traits through the stories of great men and women of history, it will be tied to the Core Knowledge scope and sequence, and include a track for the staff to be studying, along with readings for parents and children to do together!

I cannot believe that I am actually sitting down to draft a post after completing the first day of school. I have no idea why I am still standing (the 15 power nap may have a little something to do with it), but I think the excitement from our stellar day is still surging through

Having classroom rules and discussing with the students the importance of follwoing the rules creates a balance in the classroom. Teaching them that balance comes in different forms and classroom rules is one of those forms, to keep everything in order and running smoothly!
