If you use toilet rolls for wall art as shown by my pin of that great idea by tali-schiffer-ore... or any cardboard rolls, why not line and cover with some wallpaper - I had a very quick try using scrap wall paper, paper-lace and toilet roll - had to paint the edges with black acrylic - went a bit blobby but as a test, it came out okayish.
