Vincent van Gogh painted ( oil on canvas) his self portrait with his bandaged ear a week afyer he left hospital in January of 1889. My favourite part about this painting is how it shows Van Goghs detemaination to his passion (art/painting). He does this by painting his blue fur hat which he brought to help keep his bandage on and stay warm in the harsh winter, so even whilst delaing with harsh weather and injury also his recent agruements witg his fellow painter and losing his dreams of them both opeing a studio in the south he still continues to do what he’s passionate about even though im sure it would have been hard mentally to still continue in these situation. #vangoghart #art
